Documentary Series Casting Call
Berlin, 18th of March 2024
After the successful completion of "The Africologist" a documentary film directed by Valerio Lopes in co-production with Songai Productions, Medeo Productions and the European Media Group, we are pleased to announce that the film has been concept has been extended for TV and streaming services. We are taking this project further and creating a scripted live series for which we are considering having a co-host to the show. This is the official casting call. We only accept submissions that have been properly recommended to the team.
Who is the Africologist?
The Africologist is a futuristic documentary on African History, Science, and Technology.
Character description: In the completed documentary, the Africologist is a young 3D character, travelling with us throughout the film, she impersonates the subconscious curiosity we all lingering inside of us. The need to understand who we are, where we come from and where we are going.
For the upcoming series we decided to use a host in order to increase the reality aspect of the project.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a young woman with scientific background and well versed in English and Swahili for filming in October 2023.
Ideally you will be part of a team of 4 people and travel to different locations in Africa.
We welcome individual applicants too.
All people of African ethnicities who have been granted a login code are welcome to apply.
